Terms and Conditions

A few ground rules for using Instant HTML. Please read these terms so you understand your rights and responsibilities when using our tools.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Instant HTML, including its website, browser-based editor, Chrome extension, and related features.

In these Terms, "Instant HTML," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of Instant HTML associated with ToolJar. "You" refers to the person accessing or using the service.

1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using Instant HTML, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

If you use Instant HTML on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. About Instant HTML

Instant HTML is a development tool designed to help users write, edit, organize, and preview HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related project assets.

Features may include a code editor, live preview, project and file management, autocomplete, snippets, and responsive preview tools. Features may change as the product develops.

Unless we explicitly state otherwise, Instant HTML is a development and prototyping tool, not a managed hosting service, a source-code backup service, or a guarantee that your projects will be available indefinitely.

3. Eligibility

You may use Instant HTML only if you can legally agree to these Terms under the laws applicable to you. If you are under the age required to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction, you must use the service with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Instant HTML complies with the laws and regulations applicable to you.

4. Your code, projects, and content

You generally retain ownership of the code, projects, designs, and other content that you create or import using Instant HTML, subject to any rights belonging to other people or organizations.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions necessary to use any code, images, fonts, libraries, or other assets that you import into your projects.

You are also responsible for the content you create, the websites you build, and how you publish or distribute them.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your projects to us. You should maintain your own backups of important work.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Instant HTML to:

  • Violate applicable laws, regulations, or the rights of others.
  • Create or distribute malicious software, phishing pages, or other content intended to deceive, harm, or compromise others.
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy rights, or other intellectual property or legal rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, infrastructure, or third-party services.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, abuse, or attempt to bypass reasonable security measures protecting the service.
  • Use the service in a way that creates unreasonable security, operational, or legal risks.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable action where necessary, subject to applicable law.

6. Projects, storage, and backups

Instant HTML may store projects, files, preferences, and editing state in your browser or on your device. The availability of this data may depend on your browser, device, storage settings, and the version of the product you use.

Data stored locally may be lost if you clear browser storage, remove the extension, reset your browser, change browser profiles, experience device failure, or encounter a software issue.

We do not guarantee that local projects can be recovered if they are deleted, corrupted, or become inaccessible. You are responsible for exporting or backing up important projects and assets.

Features that transmit or store information remotely, if introduced, may be subject to additional terms or disclosures.

7. Intellectual property

The Instant HTML name, branding, logos, website design, original software, and other materials provided by us may be protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Instant HTML for its intended purpose. This does not transfer ownership of the product or its underlying intellectual property to you.

Except where permitted by law, an applicable open-source license, or our written permission, you may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative products from our proprietary materials.

Third-party software and assets included in or used by the service may be governed by their own licenses and terms.

8. Third-party services and links

Instant HTML may rely on or link to third-party services, websites, libraries, fonts, hosting providers, content delivery networks, and form-processing services.

These third parties operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, and availability requirements. We do not control every aspect of their services.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party products or websites except to the extent required by applicable law.

9. Availability and product changes

We aim to make Instant HTML useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or free of errors.

We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features to maintain, improve, or protect the service. Where required by applicable law, we will provide any required notice or other protections.

Updates to the website, editor, browser extension, or dependencies may change how features behave or what browser capabilities are required.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Instant HTML is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the service will meet every requirement, operate without interruption, detect every coding error, or produce correct results in every environment.

You are responsible for testing and reviewing your code, previewing your output, checking compatibility, and evaluating the security of projects before deploying them or using them in production.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, right, or protection that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, Instant HTML.

This includes losses associated with lost or corrupted projects, software errors, browser changes, service interruptions, or third-party services, to the extent such exclusions are permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Where a limitation or exclusion is not permitted in full, it will apply only to the extent legally permitted.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Instant HTML at any time.

Where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, we may restrict or suspend access to the service if we reasonably believe that use violates these Terms, creates a security risk, or threatens the operation of the service.

Ending your use of Instant HTML does not automatically remove information already submitted to third-party providers or delete locally stored projects. You may need to manage those separately.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as Instant HTML evolves or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.

Where required by law, we will provide notice or obtain consent for material changes. Continued use of the service after revised Terms take effect will be subject to the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are subject to the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator of Instant HTML is legally established, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

Disputes relating to these Terms will be handled by the courts or other dispute-resolution bodies that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
