Privacy Policy

Your work is yours. This policy explains what information Instant HTML handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Instant HTML, a product associated with ToolJar, handles information when you visit our website, use the editor, or contact us.

We aim to collect only the information needed to operate the service, respond to requests, and improve the product. Please read this policy carefully to understand how your information may be handled.

1. Information we handle

The information involved depends on how you use Instant HTML. It may include:

  • Support information: the request type, subject, message, reproduction steps, expected behavior, and feature suggestions you submit.
  • Contact information: your email address if you choose to provide one when contacting us.
  • Technical information: browser information submitted with a support request, such as your browser's user-agent string.
  • Website and service information: limited technical data that may be processed by our hosting, content delivery, or form service providers when you access the website or submit a form.

We do not ask you to provide passwords, access tokens, private keys, or private project code in support requests.

2. Your projects and files

Instant HTML is designed to let you work on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related project assets in your browser.

In the current local-storage workflow, projects and related files are stored in browser storage on your device. We do not receive your project contents merely because you edit or preview them in the editor.

Your local project data may remain on your device after you close the browser. Clearing site data, using a different browser profile, uninstalling an extension, or resetting your browser may affect your ability to access locally stored work. Export or back up important projects.

If we introduce cloud synchronization, accounts, remote processing, or other features that transmit project data, we will update this policy to explain how those features handle your information.

3. Support requests and feedback

If you submit a bug report, feature request, question, or general feedback through our support form, the information you submit is sent through Web3Forms and delivered according to our configured form and email settings.

Depending on the request, this may include:

  • Your selected request category and subject.
  • Your message and any troubleshooting details.
  • Your optional email address.
  • Browser information included with the submission.

We use this information to respond to questions, investigate bugs, evaluate feature requests, and improve Instant HTML. We may retain relevant correspondence for follow-up and record-keeping.

Please reviewWeb3Formsfor information about its own services and privacy practices. Information submitted through the form may be processed under that provider's terms and policies.

4. Third-party services

Some parts of our website may rely on third-party services to deliver content or provide functionality. These may include:

  • Web3Forms: processing support form submissions.
  • Google Fonts: delivering typography used by the website.
  • Cloudinary: delivering hosted demo videos or other media used on the website.
  • Website hosting: serving the website and potentially processing technical request logs.

These services may process technical information, such as connection details or request metadata, as necessary for their operations. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies and practices.

The services used may change as Instant HTML evolves.

5. Cookies and browser storage

Instant HTML may use browser storage, including IndexedDB or other local storage mechanisms, to maintain your projects, files, preferences, and editing state.

These storage mechanisms are distinct from cookies. Their contents generally remain within your browser profile unless you export the data or a feature explicitly transmits it.

Third-party resources and hosting services may use their own technologies or process connection data. The exact behavior depends on the services currently enabled on the website.

6. Data retention

Locally stored project data generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear the relevant browser storage, or otherwise remove it.

Support submissions and related correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, resolve issues, maintain relevant records, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Retention by third-party service providers is also subject to their respective policies and configurations.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled through the services we operate. However, no website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Keep backups of important projects and avoid submitting confidential code, credentials, or other sensitive information through support forms.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can choose whether to provide an email address when submitting feedback. You can also manage locally stored project data through the available editor features and your browser's storage controls.

To ask about information you have submitted, contact us using the support page linked below. We may need to verify your request before taking action.

9. Children's privacy

Instant HTML is a developer tool and is not specifically directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our support channels and you would like us to review it, please contact us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Instant HTML changes or as our data-handling practices and legal requirements evolve. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

We encourage you to review this page periodically.
